INVITATION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Our office selects around 10 Japanese universities (public, private), based on putting the priority to the universities who have a large number of foreign students.
We request these universities to recommend the candidates for our scholarship.

●QUALIFICATIONS
Recipients of the scholarship must meet each of the following conditions: as of October of the commencing year of scholarship payment.

�@ Students of foreign nationality
�A Regular students of a Japanese university or college department, graduate students
　 taking the proper courses, or research students engaged in studies equivalent to the
　 graduate level
�B Persons who do not receive scholarships from other private organizations
�C Persons who have a student visa
�D Persons who are interested in international understanding and friendly
　 relations and who are determined to contribute to global society
�E Persons must be registered students of the recommended university for 2 years,
　 should study in Japan

●NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

about 15 scholars

●SCHOLARSHIP PAYMENT (GRANT)

Monthly allowance is \120,000.
Payment is made in the amount of ￥360,000 on the quarterly year basis.

●SCHOLARSHIP PAYMENT PERIOD

2 years (2 years from October of the commencing year. Recipients should be ceaselessly registered at university who recommended them to our scholarship.)

●APPLICATION PERIOD

From January 13th to May 8th for the next year scholarship.

APPLICATION

If you have an interest in applying to our scholarship, please contact the section in charge of university where you are registered and ask them whether your university has been requested by us to recommend the candidates for our scholarship.
In case university has been requested by us, applicants should submit the following documents to the president or the section concerned of the university where they are registered.

�@ Application form (prepared by the Foundation)
�A A letter of recommendation by both the president and the professor in charge
�B A certificate of student registration
�C A list of Official Academic Record

SELECTION OF SCHOLARS

The scholars will be determined by conducting a paper review and an interview by the Selection Committee of the Foundation.
We notify the result of our selection to the applicants by letter through the president around July.
